Gas prices have dropped below $2 a gallon in Mohave County. At "The Outpost" on Hwy 68 in Golden Valley the price fell to $1.98.9 per gallon on Tuesday.
"I lowered the price (Tuesday)," Outpost owner Bill Jeter said.
Prices are set according to cost, according to Jeter.
"I know what I pay," Jeter said. "The wholesaler tells me what it costs me.
"I'm probably lower than I really should be."
Whether he is selling more gas or not since lowering the price is something about which he is not yet certain.
"It's hard to tell. It takes a day or two," Jeter said.
But, cars were parked at all eight pumps and more were waiting on Wednesday afternoon.
